Optimist Youth Homes and Family Services owns and operates six community group homes throughout the Los Angeles area, including homes in Orange county. Each houses six adolescents. Two of the homes are reserved for girls. Homes are staffed by a supervising Social Worker, assisted by a facility manager and other Youth Care Counselors.

Many residents are graduates from the main campus providing a continuity of care model for our agency. Other referrals are accepted provided that the youth are able to live in smaller community settings, depending upon the community for activities such as recreation and/or education endeavors. While many of the residents in the group homes close to campus are educated in our own nonpublic school, this is not necessarily a requirement. All receive Mental Health services from our professional staff.

Like the main campus residential units, each home has its own particular rules and regulations, while at the same time maintaining its own character, as defined by both staff and residents. Nevertheless each home abides by the policies and procedures
of the agency.
