Day Treatment Services are offered by Optimist Youth Homes and Family Services.

For residential youngsters who participate after school and on weekends. These residents benefit from additional services that we are able to provide through a contract with the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health. Services include specialized therapies such as art, movement, music and recreation therapy, substance abuse treatment, intensive psychotherapy, etc. Of course all are enrolled in our non-public school where they receive special education services.

The orientation is towards attempting to modify behavior and attitudes of youngsters involved in anti-social activity. The goal is to help families remain together and avoid any future placement of the youngster.
